So on the one hand, we should be spreading an unproven 'Lab Leak' theory for COVID like it's WMDs in Iraq, but on the other hand, we should proceed with the upmost caution when it comes to the Matt Gaetz story despite it having way more of a trail?

I'm all for journalistic judiciousness, but at least be consistent.

As for e-Voting, sure it's a nice aspiration to have, but none of what you say addresses the very hard problems that have to be solved. This isn't as simple as you make it sound. This isn't banking or social media, it's something unique entirely.

So unless you have good answers to the issues raised in the Tom Scott video below, I wouldn't be so gung-ho about it without a plan (yes it mentions about Estonia):

I'm glad you compared those two!

The COVID origin story is something we will likely never have more information on. And so I would rather push my own narrative in absence of anything new ever coming to light.

The Gaetz story on the other hand is evolving by the day. If I were to write that piece a week later I would be far more on the side that there is indeed fire to the smoke. Mostly because of the comments of his friend's lawyer and the Venmo transactions. Does that make me a loser for not jumping on it a week ago? Maybe, that's up to you.

If I believed that we were ever going to get new info on China I would say "wait and see." But considering it took a year for them to stonewall every investigation and then blame it on Hot Pockets... I have my doubts.
